Terracotta warriors, Xian, China. A full army of terracotta warriors were created to guard the tomb of Quin Shihuang, the first emperor of China, who died in 210 BC. It was discovered by farmers digging a well in 1974. This is a view of pit #1. It is now a World Heritage site.
