Zebra skin. Striped skin of a zebra (Equus sp.). Zebras are wild horses that inhabit the savannahs and grasslands of south- eastern Africa. They primarily graze on grasses, and are often the first grazer to colonise areas of longer grass. Zebras are social animals that live in small family groups comprising an adult stallion, mares and their foals. Many family groups come together to form herds that can number several hundred individuals. They often associate with other grazing herbivores, such as wildebeest and antelopes. Photographed in Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya, East Africa.
