Lung cancer, X-ray

A hilum is anarea through which blood vessels, nerves and ductsenter and leave an organ. This is an early stageof lung cancer, the main cause of which iscigarette smoking. Symptoms include chest pain,shortness of breath and a cough. Treatment is witha combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
